What were we seeking?
We were seeking heaven on earth. What makes us happy, and how can we spread the love? Everybody has their own paradise, but ours and God’s little patch of heaven is for everyone and is always growing.
How did we seek?
We sang songs, colored, prayed, read, and talked. We expressed our ways to seek and find heaven and God. The parables we read added to our seeking. One of my favorite lessons was the mustard seed. It doesn’t matter how small something is; it can still be important.
What did we find?
I feel like everyone found something different tonight. Maybe everyone was opened up to their heaven on earth. I know I thought about that a lot, about that one place where I know I can always feel God and talk to Him about anything, and really just chill with Him. We also found many other lessons in the parables about growth, importance, meaning, and even evil.
How then shall we live?
We will go through life serving others, and thinking about what makes them happy. We will also find our heaven on earth even though it can be hidden well.

In search of keys!

What were we seeking? Last night we were seeking how to unlock the kingdom of God when we are given the keys!
How did we seek? Breaking down and relating to Matthew Chapter 5 (everyone fits in somewhere) Learning and realizing what the word “Blessed” truly means to us.
What did we find? For me I found, Matthew Chap.5 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” It’s remarkable that just by being a peacemaker you are and will be called the sons of God. You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.
How then shall we live? knowing that God not only had dreams (i.e. plans) for this world but dream that include me; remembering that I have been given the keys to unlock those dreams here in this world. noticing the places where God’s kingdom is already alive here on earth; and living concretly in such a way that I am blessed by God: touched, healed, whole and delivered!

What were we seeking? Last night at Selah we were seeking the call to be heroes. Being all saints Sunday, we talked a lot about our heroes. From ones who have passed, to ones that will come in the future.
How did we seek? We made a mosaic in honor of these heroes. Taking the stones and remembering past, present, and future saints. Then, we just said whoever came to our minds. Who our saints and heroes were.
What did we find? Everyone has heroes. And we are all heroes. As Aunt May once said, “There’s a hero in all of us.”
How then shall we live? Remember these heroes. Keep their memory alive. {be the hero God is calling us to be in this world – helping God’s dreams come alive! -SC}
